Plastic containers (the ones represented by ‘red lids’ in the book are generally 1.1L in size. I usually go for the ones that are slightly deeper – only because I can also use these containers for prepping and packing meals.

 

The ‘narrow foil’ containers are the meatloaf size containers.

I use ‘square foil’ containers for pies and quiches etc. Yes, you will have pie dishes at home. I like the square and rectangle shaped ones as they fit better in a freezer.

The ‘rectangle foil’ containers are best for lasagnas and casseroles.

You can often purchase containers at $2 shops or variety stores.
